A Toronto Chinatown grocer and his two co-accused have been found not guilty on charges of assault and forcible confinement.David Chen, his cousin and his nephew were all charged in the case, which received national attention when it was discovered the trio were arrested after catching a thief who tried to steal from their store.

总理哈珀已向司法部作出指示，要探讨修改现行刑事法的问题，以确保类似具争议性的案件以后不再发生。
哈珀昨日在国会上表示，由于该案如今已审结，而常理得到了伸张，他和司法部长倪可森(Rob Nicholson)已指示了司法部，研究修改刑事法的问题，避免类似该案的案件日后有机会重演。
陈旺是因为捉拿一名从其超市偷走栽后于1小时后折返该店意图再偷的职业小偷，而被控袭击及法非禁锢罪名。他刚于上周五被判无罪，主审法官裁定他此举属于一个公民逮捕(citizen's arrest)。
陈旺高兴修例保障小商户权益。
